In 2019, I started an aromatherapy house cleaning business. I care deeply about the Earth and set out to be as eco-friendly and zero-waste as possible. I previously worked for a cleaning company that used homemade cleaning products, but I left when I realized I could do it on my own and reduce waste and single-use products. I took a leap of faith. I poured over books, reading about the antiseptic and antibacterial properties of essential oils and I learned how their scents can alleviate or uplift mental states. Because cleaning doesn’t have to be toxic. 

In 2019, I started my aromatherapy house cleaning business. I am a planet-conscientious business, using eco-friendly practices to be as zero waste as possible. For almost a year, I worked for a cleaning company that used homemade essential oil cleaning productions. I left to start my own business when  I realized I  could better optimize the business model to reduce unnecessary waste and utilize a better palette of essential oils. I took a leap of faith. I poured over books, reading about the antiseptic and antibacterial properties of essential oils, and learned how their scents can alleviate or uplift mental states. It’s gained its own momentum, and now word of mouth brings me new clients to choose from. I’m proud that my business is not just a company, it is also community, and a way to affect social change. Because cleaning doesn’t have to be toxic.
